What customers say?

“ Everything was perfect. Friendly and super knowledgeable bartender who made us some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The food was really special too - fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, with every detail carefully attended to, and yet with no pretentiousness. ”

“ Bumping spot with a buzzing bar and pretty good martinis. The actual space was quite crowded on a Saturday which is understandable, but the hostess was awesome and very helpful with finding us a spot at the bar. I probably wouldn't prioritize coming back, but it was good time. ”

- Jeremy Yowell -

“ Left Door offers a fantastic selection of delicious cocktails, with a menu that’s both creative and extensive. The interior is chic and sophisticated, featuring dim lighting, velvet couches, and a cozy, intimate ambiance. It did get a bit crowded at times, but the atmosphere remained enjoyable throughout. ”

“ This place is SUCH a cool speakeasy. I would love to come back and try more of what they have. I tried one of their infamous martinis and my friend got the marg. We were both hoping to get lots of food there, for dinner, but decided it would probably be best as an appetizer/small bites thing. The tables are made more as cocktail tables with less room to eat (not a bad thing, it’s just the environment). One of the servers educated us on caviar, so it was so much fun having a caviar bump for the first time there. If you do an on coming here, plan on making a reservation weeks in advance! It’s such a great spot. ”

“ I recently discovered a one-of-a-kind speakeasy secretly nestled on Union Ave in the prime Cow Hollow area of San Francisco, and it offered one of the best experiences the city has to offer. On a Tuesday evening, the venue was bustling with professionals, creating an elegant and lively atmosphere. Although reservations are highly recommended due to their popularity, we were fortunate enough to wait in the stylish bar area until we were seated. Our evening unfolded beautifully with expertly crafted top-shelf drinks, delectable appetizers, and ultimately, a sumptuous dinner. Each cocktail was visually stunning and perfectly balanced in flavor, while the appetizers were a delightful prelude to the meal, bursting with unique and magical tastes. A special thanks to Marie, whose attentive and accommodating service ensured our experience was not only exquisite but also comforting and inviting. Her dedication truly set this speakeasy apart. We were so impressed that we decided to stay for dinner and are already planning to return with more friends to share this upscale dining haven. Whether you’re seeking a sophisticated night out or a cozy spot to unwind, this hidden gem on Union Ave is the perfect choice. Thank you to the entire team, especially Marie, for making our night truly special. We can’t wait to return! ”

“ The caviar and charcuterie board is a must! They also make a great dirty martini, I recommend the blue cheese olives. So delicious. ”

“ Exactly the vibe I was looking for! Visiting from Toronto for work and was looking for the perfect spot for a night cap (or two)—Left Door delivered Bartender was lovely and accommodating, great cocktails. I’ll definitely be back! ”

“ Probably one of my favorite speakeasies in San Francisco. You have to get a reservation to get a table on the weekend, but otherwise you can order at the bar. Cocktails are pricey but amazing- definitely have to try the milk punch and espresso martini. Great for date nights and catching up with friends in an intimate setting. The food here is also GREAT but I treat it as a tasting menu. The caviar pairings are delightful. Portions are tiny (and I get it, Japanese wagyu is expensive but just know a plate of 6 cubes of wagyu will set you back $85+) ”
